am gestrigen Tag haben Bund und Länder weitere sehr einschneidende Maßnahmen beschlossen, um die explosionsartige Verbreitung des Corona-Virus zu stoppen. Die vereinbarten Beschränkungen zielen darauf ab, die persönlichen Kontakte um 75 Prozent zu reduzieren und sollen am kommenden Montag, 2. November 2020, in Kraft treten. Im Amateurfußball wird ab diesem Zeitpunkt bis Ende November ein Spielbetrieb rechtlich nicht mehr zulässig sein.

Vor diesem Hintergrund haben die drei baden-württembergischen Fußballverbände beschlossen, den gesamten Spielbetrieb der Herren, der Frauen sowie der Jugend von der Oberliga Baden-Württemberg abwärts mit sofortiger Wirkung auszusetzen und ein Spielverbot zu verhängen, das zugleich auch Pokal- und Freundschaftsspiele erfasst. Die Entscheidung erfolgt bewusst bereits vor der rechtlichen Umsetzung der Bund-Länder-Beschlüsse und aufgrund der sehr eindringlichen Appelle der Bundes- und Landesregierung. Insbesondere Ministerpräsident Winfried Kretschmann betonte, dass alle nicht notwendigen Kontakte bereits jetzt und insbesondere am Wochenende unterbleiben sollen. Dieser Aufforderung leistet der Amateurfußball in Wahrnehmung seiner gesellschaftlichen Verantwortung selbstverständlich Folge.

wfv-Präsident Matthias Schöck sagt dazu: „Dieser Schritt ist uns allen schwer gefallen, es gab aber in der aktuellen Situation keine echte Alternative. Zufrieden bin ich darüber, dass es uns in Baden-Württemberg erneut gelungen ist, unsere Verantwortung für den Amateurfußball und die Gesellschaft gemeinsam und einheitlich wahrzunehmen.“
